Your press review from Quantaneo
SAP, the world leader in enterprise software publishing, could not ignore developments in quantum computing. Laure Le Bars, is in charge, in Paris, of coordinating some of this work. In a recent blog post, Stephane Neufcourt presents some thoughts on SAP's research areas in the field. Without dismissing the idea of researching on the hardware part, SAP will of course focus its efforts on the development of new algorithms, which will increase the computing power of its software, as well as specialized development tools (compilers and libraries).
Following a workshop on quantum computing in the pharmaceutical field, held in UK on March 14, participants published a report of their discussions. They insist on the need for their industry to develop their common knowledge and share research axes, in order to improve the efficiency of the investments that will be made.
China's progress in quantum computing remains mysterious. Between propaganda and secrecy, China invests billions of dollars in our field, but it is difficult to measure the real level of their developments. The analyst firm Forrester has just published a research note that provides an update on China's breakthrough in quantum computing, from the perspective of analyzing investments by government, business and universities and research centers. A research note written by Charlie Dai.
